Dear Inner Harbour Holiday Helper:

It is the time of year when children are counting down the days, anticipating the celebration of the holidays. As you know, most of Inner Harbour's youth will spend their holidays here with us. Many of our children have no family support as they work through significant emotional and behavioral issues and traumatic histories. Please help us make the holidays special for 150 children and adolescents by being a Harbour Holiday Helper. Here are some ways to help:

• $75 Sponsors a child.
  Donating $75 (or a gift card in this amount) ensures a child will have gifts of both fun and necessity. You may also shop for $75 worth of items from our Holiday Wishlist printed on the backside, such as coloring books, hair accessories or new clothes.
  
  
• $150 Sponsors a UNIT Gift.
  Make a donation of your choice OR purchase. Each of our groups have needs for a "big" item for all to enjoy. These gifts include a TV, DVD/VCR player, gaming systems, basketball goals, game tables (ping pong, air hockey, etc.), ranging from $150 to $400.
  
  
• $375 Sponsors more than one child or a program.
  Our children and adolescents live in residential groups of approximately 10 to 24 youth, while our group homes and emergency shelter house five to fourteen youth. Please encourage your family, office mates, neighborhood association, or church to sponsor one of our groups or programs. Gifts for these groups can be purchased for as little as $375 for small groups to $1,800 for larger groups.
  
  
• $550 Supports off-campus activities and events during the holidays for groups of youth.
  Our SACS accredited school has a winter vacation over the holidays and we plan as many off-campus trips and activities as possible. We seek free, fun activities for our youth, but would love to offer opportunities to ice-skate, see holiday movies, and visit with Santa. Our hopes are that each program has funds for activities to cover the two-week winter vacation.

Please note that we need your donations by Friday, December 12, 2008. Unwrapped gifts and donations can be dropped off or mailed to our Douglasville campus (4685 Dorsett Shoals Road, Douglasville, GA 30135) and donations made online at www.innerharbour.org. Please join us for gift wrapping during the week of December 15 to 19th or make a donation of wrapping paper, tape or ribbons. Have a wonderful holiday season and thank you for your support of our youth.
