Dear Friends of Inner Harbour:

It is the time of year when children everywhere are counting down the days, anticipating the celebration of the holidays. Most of our children at Inner Harbour will spend their holidays here with us. Many of our children have no family support as they work through emotional issues and severe abuse histories. We need your help to make sure their holidays are special.

Please consider being a Harbour Holiday Helper to ensure our children have a great holiday season. There are three ways you can help:

• Sponsor a child - Donating $75 (or a gift card in this amount) ensures a child will have gifts of both fun and necessity. Or you can personally shop for $75 worth of items found on our Holiday Wishlist, which includes such items as coloring books and warm clothes.
• Sponsor more than one child - Our children and adolescents live in residential groups of 12-15 children. Encourage your family, office mates, church groups and others to sponsor a group or a specific number of children.
• Make a donation of your choice OR purchase a special UNIT GIFT - Each of our groups have needs for a big item. This gift is one that all our children can enjoy, such as a TV, DVD/VCR player, gaming systems, basketball goal, game tables (ping pong, air hockey, etc.), or a collection of DVD or books.

Please get creative with the way the giving spirit moves you - perhaps a neighborhood party where everyone brings items from the Wishlist for the children. Maybe your office colleagues can donate items to our children rather than exchanging gifts, or perhaps your family is looking for a project to learn the meaning of giving.

We are amazed by the community's generosity each year and we appreciate your help in providing for 200 children. Please support our holiday program and help us make the holiday a happy one!
